For Family & Visitors

Visiting Guidelines

Join us in our efforts to care for your family member or friend through brief and pleasant visits. Please supervise small children closely, for their own safety and for the comfort of our patients.

Well visitors only, please. Protect your loved one by staying home if you are sick or have recently been exposed to a contagious illness such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, pertussis (whooping cough), tuberculosis, or rubella. This helps patients avoid infections that could jeopardize their recovery.

General Visiting Hours. Check with your nurse for unit-specific guidelines.

Newborn Intensive Care Unit. Visitors are welcome at the invitation of the parents at any time around the clock, no visitors are permitted between 2:30 to 4:00 a.m. and 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., for nursing report and care preparation. Siblings with current immunizations are welcome on weekends and holidays.

Intensive Care Unit. Immediate family members over the age of 14 are welcome at any time around the clock, but may want to avoid the time between 5:00 to 6:30 am and 5:00 to 6:30 pm for nursing report and care preparation.

Labor & Delivery. Visitors are allowed at all hours (at the patient’s invitation).

Visiting after 10:00 p.m. Most outside doors are locked after 10:00 p.m.. To visit after that time, enter through the Emergency Room.
