McKay-Dee’s Emergency Department provides 24-hour coverage, by board certified physicians for all types of acute medical and trauma conditions.

We are an American College of Surgeons (ACS) verified Level II Trauma center and the Northern Utah base for Life Flight.

McKay-Dee Hospital Center was granted certification as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission.  We are the only Primary Stroke Center in Northern Utah.

    Certified Stroke Center
    The McKay-Dee Hospital Center was granted certification as a Primary Stroke Center (PSC) by the Joint Commission in May 2007, signifying that the services provided at McKay-Dee Hospital Center have the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes.

    The Stroke Program at McKay-Dee Hospital (is the only PSC in northern Utah and) is committed to delivering best clinical practices and healthcare services to our stroke patients and families, and to our community.
    Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
    McKay-Dee Hospital's intensive care unit cares for severely traumatized and critically ill patients.801-387-2000
    Life Flight
    McKay-Dee Hospital is Intermountain Life Flight's Norther Utah base meaning faster service and better care for patients who need a "mobile" intensive care unit.
    Emergency Department & Trauma Care
    We are ready for anything - 24. Critically-ill and injured patients have immediate access to a specially-designed, specially-equipped trauma center, staffed by an experienced trauma team.

    Located on the first floor, West side of the hospital. 
    Surgical Services
    The Surgical Center at McKay-Dee Hospital performs inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Surgical specialties include: ENT - ears, nose and throat; oral/dental procedures; orthopedics, podiatry, plastics/cosmetic surgery; gynecology, neurology, ophthalmic, urology, and general surgery.
