Our patients benefit from the encouragement and support of visitors. In general, visitors are welcome to visit patients at Orem Community Hospital at any time. Patients may specify visiting times or request no visitors, and we honor those requests.
While visitors are allowed at any time, individual care units may have limited hours or special visiting guidelines. Please call (801) 224-4080 to contact a unit about specific visiting guidelines.
We encourage visitors avoid visiting the hospital during shift changes (6 a.m. and 6 p.m.), so our medical staff can properly prepare for their shift.
Well visitors only, please.
Effective: December 30, 2014
Due to the infectious nature of the flu virus, the following temporary visiting policy is in effect to protect our patients, visitors and hospital staff:
- No visitors under 14 years of age allowed on any hospital units.
- No sick visitors. Please do not visit at this time if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, wheezing, vomiting or diarrhea.
Protect your loved one by staying home if you are sick or have recently been exposed to a contagious illness such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, pertussis (whooping cough), tuberculosis, or rubella. This helps patients avoid infections that could jeopardize their recovery.
