The Utah Valley Pediatric Rehabilitation Center, developed by Intermountain Health Care, provides children and their parents with therapy and professional support so each child can reach his or her full potential.
The children that come to the Utah Valley Pediatric Rehabilitation Center range in age from birth to their teens. Most often they are diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, autism, developmental delays, feeding or speech disorders or physical disabilities. Although the majority of our patients are from Utah County, many travel from Central and Southern Utah to receive the care the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center can provide.
Each child receives an evaluation that helps us determine the therapies that will best help him or her begin on the right track to progression. Many of the children receive care from more than one therapist, depending on their needs.
Our speech-language therapists help children with language development, auditory processing and swallowing skills.
Occupational therapists teach our kids self-care skills and treat them for hand function, visual perceptual skills and design or select adaptive equipment and splints as needed.
Patients needing assistance with muscle strength and tone, coordination, balance and functional ability are seen by our physical therapists who also help with the selection and adaptation of wheelchairs.
We are located in a separate building on the northwest corner of the Orem Community Hospital campus at:
