SelectHealth Information Systems is looking for a highly organized IT Business Systems Analyst that can effectively work with business areas to identify and define business requirements and user acceptance criteria for internal and external applications utilizing Agile Methodology best practices. This person works closely with Product Teams to take the requirements from concept to deployment. The individual selected will become a subject matter expert in supporting the applications, interfaces, and products used by several areas of the organization. This includes but is not limited to batch processing, EDI / X12 transactions, interactive, and web environments.
This position will work with confidential and proprietary information that requires a signed IT Employee Invention and Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field OR four or more years of equivalent information technology, clinical, or healthcare insurance experience. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Three or more years of professional experience in an analytical or business intelligence role using performance management technologies, tools and methodologies
Understands general concepts of business/healthcare environment, types of information used, how the data is produced, consumed, and transformed.
One or more years of experience in a health insurance or healthcare setting
Understands and can independently perform the requirement gathering techniques necessary for completing functional design specifications
General understanding and knowledge of the concepts and principals outlined within the Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK) guide.
Experience in the following areas:
Working in an environment where agile / iterative approaches and methodologies are used to develop and deploy software
Industry standard System Development Life Cycles (SDLC) methods
Documenting use cases and/or user stories
Creating/authoring functional design documents
Conducting or leading design sessions
Logical Data Models
Wire Framing or other UI screen design experience
X12 HIPAA transactions
Writing SQL queries
Hearing/listening, manual dexterity, seeing, speaking
