The Respiratory Equipment Assistant performs a vital role in patient care under the direction of a Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Equipment Assistant facilitates the timely implementation and delivery of physician orders for home medical equipment and related supplies, which may include Liquid Oxygen. As a valued member of the Respiratory Team, the assistant provides important patient education and is an example of exceptional customer service.

Extra Information: This position is a federally regulated DOT Safety-Sensitive Position.
Shift Details: Position is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Three or more years customer service experience
Effective communication and telephone skills
Organizational skills and ability to set priorities
Work independently and be self-motivated
Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, internet and e-mail
Current drivers license, insured and reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record
Able to comply with Intermountain Healthcare’s Motor Vehicle Driver Policy.
Valid CDL Medical Card.
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
Be 21 or older as required by the DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
Pass a driver’s road test as required by DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.

Medical equipment experience
Respiratory care knowledge either through work or school experience
