A dynamic and proactive Pediatric Technician (Ped. Tech) is a vital part of the Operating Room (OR) team, responsible for transporting patients to and from the OR.
A resourceful Ped Tech is a valued contributor responsible for a variety of tasks, including organizing and stocking carts and equipment, general cleaning of surgical suites after each procedure, preparing paperwork, transporting specimens to the lab and retrieving blood from the blood bank. The Pediatric Tech must be able to communicate effectively in a crisis or disaster situation and maintain competent work levels.

Entry Rate: $10.08, determined based on experience

Shift Details: Part-time position working 30 hours a week. Shifts are currently Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Occasionally scheduled to work Saturdays and Sundays and rotating call on holidays.
Department: Operating Rooms at Primary Children's Hospital
Additional Information: Position requires the ability to respond within 30 minutes when on call.

Pulling/Pushing; Must be able to pull and push patient beds
Lifting; Must be able to lift 50 pounds or greater multiple times during a shift
Standing, Walking; Must be able to stand for long period of time and walk for long distances
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification or completion of first semester of clinicals from of an accredited nursing program
Hospital surgical services tech work experience
Pediatric patient care experience
