Intermountain Healthcare has a great opening for a part-time Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work with the acute care team at Intermountain Medical Center. The incumbent will work three 10-hour shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The position will primarily support the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing therapeutic patient care services including consulting and training the patient and their caregivers. The COTA assists with rendering treatment according to the established plan of care, documenting patient activities and documenting their progress. The COTA is an active participant in the quality improvement process. Join our team today!
Entry Rate: Based on experience; entry is $20.61

Shift Details: Part-time, 24 hours per week. Schedule is every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, flexible shifts. For example, shifts may be 3 8-hour days or 2 10-hour shifts and 1 4-hour shift.

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Licensure by the State of Utah to practice as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or license eligible
A certified Occupational Therapist Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking
Must be able to position and transfer patients independently and safely
Previous ICU Rehab experience highly preferred
One year or more of previous COTA experience
Previous acute care / inpatient experience
