Speech Pathologist, Inpatient Pediatrics - Primary Children's Hospital
Job Number 146957
Children’s rehabilitation services are offered at several Intermountain Healthcare sites throughout Utah. This position works at Primary Children's Hospital as part of the inpatient team. Our team includes specialists licensed in audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, rehabilitation medicine and speech therapy.
All sites offer diagnostic testing and treatment for children. We serve children ages 0–21 with injuries and illness, physical challenges, speech, language and cognitive delays, development delays, hearing loss, and other conditions that affect the daily activities most children enjoy. Each therapy program is planned to meet the unique needs of each child. We rely on the child and their primary caregiver to prioritize the plan of care and we require a parent or primary caregiver to take part in the therapy program. Teaching skills to use at home and in the community to parents is as important as the skills and practice the child receives in therapy.
All locations share a treatment philosophy, expertise and a commitment to superior service. Clinical services are provided using evidence based care. Our practitioners continually search for the best treatment options and technologies that have demonstrated effectiveness in caring for children and we consistently apply these best practices. Our goal is safer practice, better outcomes, lowest cost – all leading to healthier and better quality of life.
