The Transitional Year is designed for residents who desire a broad clinical experience to prepare them for a career in a specialty field.

Specialties that may require a first year of training include anesthesiology, radiology, radiation oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and ​emergency medicine.​​​​​​​​​​​

    The Transitional Year has full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.​​

    ​The 2014-2015 salary will be $54,142.40

    Application Process

    In addition to the application form, we require the following information to be submitted via ERAS: USMLE Step 1 score, three letters of recommendation and a Dean's letter.​​
