As a nurse, I’ve experienced the challenges inherent in providing excellent patient care,
and I think my work with medical informatics helps address those challenges.
I help design tools that caregivers can use to spend more productive time with the patient: they can be at the bedside, talking with the patient and entering their information into the computer at the same time.
It helps caregivers be more efficient which, I think, helps them take care to a higher level.
