Founded in 1994, the Intermountain Medical Group serves patients at more than 185 clinics spanning the state of Utah, from St. George to Logan. More than 1,000 Medical Group physicians and advanced practice clinicians share medical resources, patient information, and best practices. Collaborating as a team, they provide convenient access to high-quality healthcare at sustainable costs.
An exciting new Medical Group initiative is Intermountain Personalized Primary Care, which places primary care physicians at the head of a team of healthcare advocates who offer an enhanced range of patient services. These services include prevention and wellness programs, care management services, and help during transitions between care sites (such as hospitals, clinics, Homecare, etc.). Personalized Primary Care clinics are proving especially effective in helping patients manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, and depression.
In addition to its primary care and specialty clinics, the Intermountain Medical Group operates InstaCare and KidsCare urgent care clinics, which treat minor injuries and illnesses requiring urgent attention. The Medical Group also includes WorkMed occupational health clinics, pharmacies, and hospitalist groups, and it supports hospital-based units such as critical care and neonatology.
