Trustees and Management

Since the Intermountain Board of Trustees can't deal specifically with all the issues of our large organization, it has delegated authority to the Governing Boards (the hospital Foundation Boards are separate legal entities).

Trustees govern Intermountain by setting policies, goals, and other expectations for management. In general, trustees aren't expected to manage operations or work directly with Intermountain employees. And the central Board of Trustees has the final responsibility for Intermountain's actions.

Management reports to and works with the various boards. It works with employees to ensure that goals are met.
