We make it easy for patients to connect with caregivers.
The healing touch: It’s happening in innovative and more convenient ways, thanks to new technology.
Advances in digital and mobile communication are giving patients, plan members, and consumers more choices in how they interact with Intermountain. Whether it’s via a desktop computer, a laptop, a tablet, or a smartphone, people can take advantage of a variety of resources to be more engaged in their health and healthcare. Digital resources include:
Mobile apps. With our new Intermountain Health Hub mobile app, people can save their places in line at InstaCares, pay their bills, learn about health topics, or view their MyHealth records—all from a single app. Other apps help people with their physical therapy (Intermountain GO app) or help expectant mothers prepare for their new baby (Baby Steps app).
Intermountain’s website. We’re in the process of redesigning our website to make it easier to find information. No matter what kind of device people use to visit us, they’ll find the digital experience fast, functional, and informative.
Social media provide another way of interacting with Intermountain. We’re on Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, and many other popular channels. For example, Intermountain Moms, our Facebook page for expecting mothers, contains a variety of resources. More than 35,000 people like the page.
Teleservices. Intermountain is enhancing its range of Teleservices that, when introduced, will make it easy for patients to get remote access to caregivers.
While the new channels provide flexible options, Intermountain continues to reach out to people in other ways: face-to-face; email; phone calls and opt-in text messages; Post Office mail; and more.
