SelectHealth Logo

We care for people before and after they become patients.

SelectHealth provides health insurance coverage designed to fit each individual, employer, and family across Utah and parts of Idaho. In addition to commercial insurance products offered through employers, SelectHealth also offers plans for federal employees, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Plan). A strategic alliance with Boise-based St. Luke’s Health System extends coverage options through southwest and central Idaho.

SelectHealth helps members maintain and improve their health. Plans cover preventative services and offer access to programs that promote wellness, such as care management for diabetes, asthma, heart disease, and several other conditions. For example, members with diabetes receive reminders about important tests and benefits, as well as information about their condition.

As a not-for-profit health plan, SelectHealth also promotes healthy communities. Each year, through the Select 25 award program, we recognize 25 organizations that advance health in our area. Each recipient receives $2,500 as well as marketing support to help publicize its efforts. Recipients in 2013 included diverse organizations, such as ones that provide free basketball clinics for refugee students, nutrition and exercise programs for elementary school children, and pickleball clinics for senior citizens.
