There's a sort-of consensus out there that once you hit a certain age, you don't really look forward to your birthdays. Especially when you hit 40, 50, 60 or higher. David Larsen, one of the firefighters competing in the 2014 My Heart Challenge, celebrated his 40th birthday this past week. Since this week also marked the half-way point in the 100-day competition, he shared a few thoughts around birthdays and heart health.

She shared some great advice that has worked well for her, and it has applicability to everyone else as well.
