The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that drug-resistant bacteria cause two million infections and 23,000 deaths annually. It is a serious problem that impacts every community across the globe, and if left un-checked, it will eliminate doctors’ ability to treat illnesses with antibiotics.
