Getting out of your office for even a few minutes to go walking is a great way to get your heart pumping. Principal John Erlacher, Newman Elementary School, has decided to go walking with his students just before lunch every school day. It gets him, and his students, making active and healthy choices on a daily basis, and helps everyone get more heart healthy. Challenges of changing to a healthier lifestyle

Many people make New Years Resolutions, but not many of them are able to carry them throughout the year for one reason or another. The challenges people face when trying to make those healthier choices can sometimes put the brakes on success. But as the My Heart Challenge participants reported in this week, they shared their biggest challenge with the competition so far.
