The Heart & Lung Research Foundation, a subsidiary of the Intermountain Research and Medical Foundation, formerly the Deseret Foundation, supports education and seed money for cardiovascular and pulmonary research.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Heart & Lung Research Foundation is to lead Intermountain Healthcare's Urban Central Region in providing resources for the saving of lives by:
- Providing seed money for worthy research projects that will ultimately lead to clinical application
- Educating the community concerning the life saving programs of the Heart & Lung Research Foundation
- Raising the standards of health and healthcare
- Confirming to the members of the community that the efforts of the Heart & Lung Research Foundation have resulted in the extension of many lives
