SANDY, UT (1/10/2011) – Two clinics at Alta View Hospital — Alta View Rehabilitation and Intermountain South Valley Physical Therapy — have combined services and moved into newly remodeled space inside the Sandy Clinic on Alta View Hospital’s campus. Their new name is Alta View Orthopedic and Hand Therapy. They’ll share space in the new location with another clinic: Alta View Speech Pathology.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to bring the two clinics and speech pathology into one central location,” says Nelson Lesher, manager of Alta View Orthopedic and Hand Therapy. “Both clinics have provided great services to patients in the past. Joining together is the right thing to do for our patients who require either orthopedic and hand therapy or speech pathology."
PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES provided in the clinic include sports injury care, strengthening, stretching, joint mobilization, patient education, traction, industrial rehab, splints, and more. Another new service is geared toward women’s health and pelvic floor strengthening for women who struggle with incontinence. It’s provided by Rolayne Mattsson, a physical therapist who’s received specialized training.
SPEECH PATHOLOGY SERVICES provided in the clinic’s other office include evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and cognitive disorders, modified barium swallow studies, and LVST Loud therapy.
The staff at Alta View Orthopedic and Hand Therapy includes physical therapists Nelson Lesher, Eric Passey, Dan Fisher, and Rolyane Mattsson and occupational therapists Andrew Bracken and Cheryl Patterson. Alta View Speech Pathology consists of Lishaun Felix and Anna Siciliano.
