My deepest thanks goes out to Dr. Millar and his staff, for giving me back the use of my hand and taking great care of me through the whole ordeal. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of Orthopedic Surgery. Without his knowledge I would be crippled the rest of my life. Our area is so blessed to have such an awesome doctor!
My name is Jill Goodrich. I have lived with auto-immune disease for much of my life. Because of that I have had a variety of aches and pains. Most troublesome lately had been my knee. I have had a few small surgeries on it, but for as long as I can remember simply called it my bad knee and pampered it as much as possible. A couple of months ago the pain became unbearable. I made a quick call to Dr. Millar, checking the calendar and figuring once again, a few little holes and another quick clean out and I'd be okay in a couple of weeks. After looking at my X-rays, Dr. Millar suggested (to a very stunned patient) total knee replacement. Of course I was not going to do that...I am very young! I left the office in something like a daze! About a week later I realized something had to give. To make a long story short, Dr. Millar and his excellent staff helped me schedule my surgery, contacted and dealt with my insurance company, explained and reassured me quite a few times, and before I knew it I was in the recovery room, in much less pain than when I went in! It has been six weeks since my surgery, and I love my new knee! I am walking without my walker or crutches and honestly couldn't be happier! The other day, I went for a walk on our community's new walking trail. I had such a good time; it was wonderful to simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings and my grandchildren that went with me! I never once thought of my knee; it didn't hurt! Thank you Dr. Millar! I won't wait so long next time!
