Dr. Kieth Harmon is a board certified general surgeon. He is originally from Kentucky. He had an opportunity to take a surgical position at St. Alphonsus in Boise, but chose to take a position in Burley instead because he enjoys the small town atmosphere and feels like he can make more of a difference in people's lives here. Previous to taking the position with Cassia Regional Medical Center, Dr. Harmon worked as a surgeon with Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
Dr. Harmon was a CPA for a period of time, but he decided that was not his career of choice, so he went back to school to obtain his medical degree. Dr. Harmon has been involved with many medical trips to Vietnam. It was there he met his wife while jumping through the hoops and red tape of getting medical supplies and professionals to the area.
