A referral from a physician is not required to see a registered dietitian, but having a referral may increase your chances of getting insurance reimbursement. The dietitian will communicate with your physician if you have a referral.
We accept most forms of insurance for this service, but we recommend that you check with your insurance company before you come to make sure medical nutritional counseling is covered.
SelectHealth now offers an expansive nutritional counseling benefit — covering a variety of adult-oriented diagnoses like obesity, celiac disease, and cardiovascular disease. A physician referral is not required, and no co-pay is necessary.

Please contact a registered dietitian at (435) 688-4842 for a one on one nutrition consult or the Dixie Regional Metabolic Clinic at (435) 688-4841. Metabolic Clinics are generally held on Tuesday of each week in St. George.
