What is Hand Therapy?
Hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper extremity. Our hand therapists combine comprehensive knowledge of upper extremities with specialized skills in assessment and treatment. The goal of hand therapy is to restore and maximize functional use of the hand and arm in daily activities, at work, and in sports.
Our Patients
We offer post-operative and conservative care for all upper extremity conditions such as:
- Fractures and Dislocations
- Strains or sprains
- Tendon lacerations or tendinitis
- Nerve injuries or nerve compression syndromes
- Arthritis
- Joint contracture reduction
- Burns
- Amputations
Prevention Education
In addition to one-on-one sessions with our skilled hand therapists, our patients are given individualized instructions for home exercises specifically designed for their diagnosis and needs. A successful home program can dramatically improve your outcomes. To ensure success,
we'll provide demonstrations, visual aids, and monitoring as appropriate.
