The Acute Rehabilitation Unit provides an optimal setting for patients who will benefit from longer term “inpatient” rehabilitation, and is staffed by nurses with specialized rehabilitation training. Our program is the only one of its kind between Provo and Las Vegas and was recently recognized by Uniform Data Systems, a national benchmarking company, as being in the top 10% of such units in the nation.

This center serves as a homelike environment for patients with neurological injuries or illnesses to transition from needing full hospital care to, in most cases, being able to go directly home. Patients benefit from the expertise of a multidisciplinary team including physical, occupational, and speech/swallowing therapy as well as a medical director, rehab nursing staff, social worker and other professionals as needed.

Helping a Variety of Patients

Patients with the following diagnosis would benefit from our comprehensive rehabilitation program:

  • Stroke (CVA)

  • Spinal cord injury
  • Orthopedic dysfunction
  • Degenerative neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Polyneuropathy, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson’s Disease, Guillain Barré, and other progressive impairments
