CT scans allow radiologists (physicians) to see detailed pictures of structures inside the body and to help them properly diagnose the extent of injury or illness.
CT scans allow physicians to see detailed pictures of structures inside the body. In addition to helping physicians to properly diagnose the extent of injury or illness, CT scans are also performed as a preventive measure to determine if you're developing coronary artery disease long before you experience any symptoms. Dixie Regional has two CT scanners in the imaging service department.
What can I expect once I receive a doctor's order for a CT scan?
Once you have received an order and your doctor has discussed your treatment options, your doctor's office will send an order to the imaging department. Our Intake Coordinator will then contact you to schedule an appointment.
