Other Members of the Team
It takes more than a skilled surgeon to get you back on your feet. Here are some other members caregivers who will encounter during your recovery process:
Our case managers will work with you to ensure you'll have the support you need once you leave the hospital. Case mangers may work with outside agencies to arrange for help at home, ensure that the right supplies and equipment are available at home, line up follow-up appointments, and help with insurance questions.
Our nurses are committed to treating each patient as an individual, with unique concerns and needs. We ask what’s important to each person during his or her treatment, and work to ensure those needs are met. Our nurses have specialized training in orthopedic care, and are especially focused on each patient's pain and safety concerns.
A pharmacist will explain your medications, how they work, how they may affect other medications, and answer your questions.
Therapists and Rehabilitation Specialists
Our team of physical and occupational therapists will help you in your recovery process and work to ensure every patient has support at home, including home health assistance. We can even arrange discharge to another facility that can provide more support if a return to home is not immediately possible.
