Garfield Memorial Hospital provides diabetic counseling to patients. Our staff has received specialized training in diabetes education to assist both recently diagnosed individuals and those who are having trouble controlling their diabetes. The Radiology Department at Garfield Memorial Hospital has modern x-ray equipment, including a state-of-the-art CT scanner. Our staff includes two x-ray technologists trained in general x-ray and ultrasound imaging.
A fulltime technologist is available weekdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and a technologist is on call during all non-business hours.
Mammography services are provided by a mobile unit that is based out of Garfield Memorial Hospital.
The hospital's Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency treatment, seven-days-a-week, for acute medical and trauma conditions.
For medical conditions beyond the scope of this facility, air transport is provided by Intermountain Life Flight or other air ambulance services.
Garfield Memorial Hospital offers a full service laboratory that is utilized by medical staff at Garfield Memorial Clinic to assist in diagnosis and patient treatment.
Most specimen tests can be done at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Specialized tests are sent by overnight mail to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, and results are returned electronically.
Physical Therapy Physical therapists provide patient therapy that includes advanced treatments, such as high Galvanic electrical stimulation, MENS, static and intermittent cervical and lumbar traction, ultrasound, whirlpool and paraffin bath.
Therapy Equipment & Supplies Exercise equipment includes a quad table, stationary bicycle, restorator, tilt table, weights and exercise balls. The department also provides supplies, such as crutches, canes, lumbar supports, cervical supports, knee braces and shoulder pulleys.
Occupational Health Therapy treatment is available at Garfield Memorial Hospital that is specifically designed to treat patients for job-related injuries and provide illness care.
Garfield Memorial Hospital is committed to providing quality care to women and newborns, with an excellent medical staff that plays a crucial role in diagnosis and treatment of medical issues. All registered nurses are required to be certified by the Association of Women's Obstetrical and Neonatal Nurses. Our RNs are also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Fetal Heart Monitoring, and Newborn Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Prenatal Education Expecting parents, moms-to-be, or single mothers and their support partners are invited to attend prenatal classes taught at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Participants will learn proper nutrition, proper exercise, help for pregnancy discomfort, warning signs, pre-term labor, stages of labor, comfort measures for labor, postpartum care and infant care.
