Welcome Michael Cutler, MD
Intermountain Heart Institute is excited to welcome Michael Cutler, MD to our Heart Rhythm Program.
Dr. Michael Cutler is a native of Bountiful, Utah and
most recently has been living in Cleveland, Ohio. He
completed his medical training and Ph.D. at the University
of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX.
Following his medical training, Dr. Cutler was accepted
into the highly selective ABIM Physician Scientist Pathway
Program at the MetroHealth Campus of Case Western
Reserve University. During this time he completed clinical
training in internal medicine, cardiology, and electrophysiology (the study of heart rhythm and electrical disorders of the heart).
Michael served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow for the final two years of his cardiology training. After completing residency and fellowship, Dr. Cutler accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the MetroHealth Campus of Case Western

Welcome David Griffin, MD
Intermountain Heart Institute is excited to welcome David Griffin, MD to our Cardiothoracic Surgery Program.
He recently completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital – Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Griffin earned his doctor of medicine, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska, where he previously graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then spent the next six years in the general surgery department with the University of Utah.
Dr. Griffin belongs to several professional organizations including the American Medical Association and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and he is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
