Welcome David Griffin, MD
Intermountain Heart Institute is excited to welcome David Griffin, MD to our Cardiothoracic Surgery Program.
He recently completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital – Western Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Griffin earned his doctor of medicine, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska, where he previously graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then spent the next six years in the general surgery department with the University of Utah.
Dr. Griffin belongs to several professional organizations including the American Medical Association and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and he is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Welcome Armond LaPine, MD
Intermountain Heart Institute is excited to welcome Dr. Armond LaPine to our Cardiology Program.
For the last nine years, he’s been working as a non-invasive nuclear cardiologist at the St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon.
Dr. LaPine earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine where he graduated cum laude. He spent the next three years serving an internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Utah hospital followed by a four year cardiology fellowship at Emory University hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. The American Board of Internal Medicine certified Dr. LaPine then certified him a second time in cardiovascular disease. He is also certified in nuclear cardiology.
