The Utah Artificial Heart Program at Intermountain Medical Center is pleased to announce our participation in a new study evaluating the effectiveness and safety of the HeartWare HVAD™ Pump – a miniature, full output device capable of pumping up to 10 liters of blood per minute.
The pump will be studied in patients who are eligible for heart transplantation and need a mechanical device to support them until a donor heart becomes available. For more information click here.
