The Dayspring Chemical Dependency Program offers up-to-date, evidence-based treatment in a safe, accepting environment, with inpatient medical detoxification at LDS Hospital and outpatient detoxification and treatment at Union Park in Cottonwood Heights. Our staff is knowledgeable, caring and experienced, and gives patients the support and tools they need to make positive change in their lives.
Our philosophy is based the 12-Step orientation of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. During rehabilitation, patients are expected to attend and participate in the 12 Step meetings of their choice.
Dayspring addresses all areas of a person’s life, with emphasis on family, education, and vocational, social, and spiritual progress. We offer individual counseling, group therapy, and educational sessions. We also have family sessions, which explore addiction and the role co-dependency plays in disease. Family members often believe it’s their job to take care of and sacrifice for their loved one. We help families focus on recovery from the co-dependent role. Families are also referred to Alanon, a 12-step program designed to support families dealing with addiction.
