Your Transplant Team
Patients undergoing treatment through the Intermountain Bone Marrow Transplant program are admitted to the LDS hospital for their care. There are many people helping with the patient's care. Together, with the patient and their family, they make up the transplant team.
The Intermountain Bone Marrow Transplant program uses mid level providers to assist in the day-to-day care of each patient. These providers are extensively trained in bone marrow transplant and do not service any other specialty. The program does not integrate medical students or residents for the care of their patients.

At the Intermountain Bone Marrow Transplant program, there are a group of coordinators that assist in the care coordination of each patient. You will be assigned a specific coordinator that will assist you through the entire transplant process. They are very knowledgeable about the transplant process and are a valuable resource for answers to questions:
- Linda Meaux, program manager
- Barb Adams, RN, nurse manager
- LaDee Dangerfield, MS, clinical coordinator
- Cindy Nordling, MSW, clinical coordinator
- Rachael Beers, BS, clinical coordinator
- Julie Koury, BS, RHIT, clinical coordinator

- Mike Pewell, finance coordinator
In addition, there are a number of key players that help make up the rest of the transplant team. These staff members are essential in making sure the patients and their families get the most out of their transplant experience. The availability of these staff members can be beneficial in gathering information, learning ways to cope, decreasing anxiety and gaining strength and support:
- Kerry Young, RN, clinic nurse
- Andrea Ulrick, RN, BSN, clinic nurse
- Patrick VanNoy, social worker
- Ricann Thorson, administrative assistant
- Celeste Morgan-Alberico, office manager
We also have a group of experienced pharmacists, nutritional support and dietitians that have many years of transplant expertise.
The LDS Hospital houses a number of specialists that are committed to making each and every transplant a success. This includes radiation oncologists, pathologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, cardiologists, and infectious disease specialists.
