We offer classes for healthcare workers and members of the community who desire to prepare for emergencies or need certification to manage injury or illness. Special arrangements and discounts are available for interested groups of 8 or more. For online courses, participants must Pre-register online by clicking on classes and events to receive an online access code.  Participants must bring a printed copy of their online certificate to the hands-on lab or they will not be allowed in the class.  NO REFUNDS will be given once the access code is emailed.  Call our Education Center at  (435) 716-5365 for more information. 

    • ACLS Certification. This is an advanced course to prepare the student to handle an adult cardio/pulmonary arrest.  The ACLS exam includes several questions that require identification of EKG rhythms. Rhythm recognition is not taught in this course so we strongly recommend that students complete the EKG Adult Basic Rhythm course prior to taking this course. Must have current HCP BLS CPR card and ACLS packet completed prior to attending. 
    • ACLS Recertification. This is a full-day refresher course for anyone with a current ACLS and BLS HCP CPR card. The student should have a basic knowledge of cardiac and respiratory pathophysiology, including basic ECG rhythms and pharmacology. Participants must complete the pre-tests prior to the course. Participants must have a current ACLS manual before, during and after the course.
    • ACLS Re-Certification crash course. This is a quick review/refresher course for those advanced healthcare providers (such as RN's, MD's, PRN's, PA's) who use ACLS skills frequently for their job. This course includes the option for physicians only to renew their BLS HCP card.
    • Healthcare Provider (BLS) CPR Certification and Recertification course (online)  This self-paced American Heart certification course uses interactive lessons and videos to teach those who work in a healthcare setting CPR.  This course includes AED and two man CPR.  This course begins with an online portion followed by a hands-on skills lab with a certified AHA instructor.  All participants must bring a copy of their online certificate to the hands-on lab otherwise they will be turned away and will need to register for another lab. 
    • Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Heart saver 1st Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certification. This course prepares potential American Heart Association instructors to teach (AHA) Courses such as Healthcare Provider (BLS), Heart saver First Aid & CPR AED.  There are pre-requisites and requirements prior to taking this course.  Call (435) 716-5365 for more information and to register.
    • Healthcare Provider (BLS) / Heart saver 1st Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Re-Certification  This course recertifies American Heart Association instructors. Instructors must provide documentation showing they have taught a minimum of 4 classes within two years.  Must show current instructor card and complete the renewal checklist prior to class.  Call (435) 716-5365 for more information and to register.
    • HS CPR/AED Certification (online) This self-paced online course uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you basic CPR skills and use of the AED.  This class is for those with no medical training who seek to be prepared in the event of an emergency. All participants must bring a copy of their online certificate (Part 1) to the hands-on skills pass off (Part 2) otherwise they will be turned away and will need to register for another lab.  This is a 2 year certification.
    • HS First Aid/CPR/AED Certification and Recertification (online) ​This online self-paced course uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Covers topics pertaining to adult, children and infants. For the community member who seeks to be prepared to help in the event of an emergency. Training pertains to workplace, community or childcare situations. All participants must bring a copy of their online certificate (Part 1) to the hands-on skills pass off (Part 2) otherwise they will be turned away and will need to register for another lab.  This is a 2 year certification.
    • EKG: Adult Basic Rhythm Course.  This class is for those who are preparing to take an ACLS class or who work with heart monitored patients.
    • EKG: Color coded Course.  This class teaches you how to recognize signs of ischemia, injury, infarction on a 12-lead EKG and to locate the affected area of the heart.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification. This is an advanced course designed to teach the student how to recognize infants and children at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest. Participant must have current BLS certification card and access to a current PALS manual before, during and after the class.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Re-Cert. This is a quick review/refresher course for those advance Healthcare providers (RNs, MDs, APRNs, PAS) who use PALS skills frequently for their job. Participate must have current BLS certification and access to a current PALS manual before, during and after the class. The recertification course for physicians includes the option of renewing Healthcare Provider (BLS).
