If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, fundraising for the Logan Regional Hospital Foundation is an excellent option. Donations to the Foundation have the potential to impact many lives and increase the variety of services offered in the valley.
Thanks go to the USU Hockey Team for the generous teddy bear donation to the hospital’s Pediatrics Unit. We truly appreciate these donations; they help our patients feel safe, welcome, and at ease.
"Cache Valley has been very supportive of us and we felt a teddy bear drive was a great way to give back. We (the USU Hockey team) also wish to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses working in the Pediatric Unit for all of their tireless efforts." - USU Hockey Goaltender Bryce Scherschel
The teddy bear donation is an extension of the hockey team’s annual Pink in the Rink Fundraiser benefitting the Logan Regional Cancer Center where, during a hockey game, the USU Hockey Team sports pink jerseys and hosts a silent auction.
The Pink Heals Tour celebrates women who are fighting – and those who have fought – breast cancer. The firemen, or “Guardians of the Ribbon,” are dressed in pink fire suits, and drive pink fire trucks across the country every year to spread their awareness campaign supporting all women in their fight against cancer. The Guardians bring the tour to help raise money and awareness for the non-profit entities that help women in their city and state. In addition, they help other non-profit programs raise money by bringing the pink fire trucks to various fund raisers to assist in the efforts at no charge to the organization.
In June 2011, the Pink Heals Tour stopped in Cache Valley to help raise awareness, and to assist in fundraising for Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Services. To learn more about the Pink Heals Tour, watch the video below.
