At the Logan Regional Hospital Cancer Center, we know correct treatment begins with a correct diagnosis. We also know that a cancer diagnosis can be very intimidating. Some cancers are treated easily with outpatient services but others require a more vigorous treatment plan. Each treatment plan will be unique for the patient.
At our cancer education center, our support staff helps each patient understand your diagnosis and answer any questions he or she may have both prior to and during treatment. Knowledge about a diagnosis and treatment options helps each patient begin to feel more comfortable.
After receiving and understanding the diagnosis, the specialists at the cancer center walk patients through their treatment plans, developed individually to suit each patient’s specific diagnosis, individual health and particular needs. A cancer conference is held each week to allow the physicians from each discipline to discuss each case and develop the best cancer treatment plan possible.
