    CT scans allow radiologists (physicians) to see detailed pictures of structures inside the body and to help them properly diagnose the extent of injury or illness.

    Women who come to the Mammography and Imaging Center at Logan Regional Hospital will benefit from the most advanced technology available in breast care, including digital mammography, delivered in a comfortable and private setting.

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound

    Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound are two methods of taking dynamic visual images inside the body without the use of radiation used in x-ray and CT scans. MRI uses powerful magnets and radio waves and ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images.

  • Nuclear Medicine

    Logan Regional’s nuclear medicine camera is able to offer details to a physician on both the structure and function of internal body parts.

Mammogram

Logan Regional Hospital's Radiology/Imaging department is staffed with board-certified radiologists who provide professional services and interpretation as well as registered and licensed technologists. All Radiology/Imaging specialty services at Logan Regional Hospital are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Services include digital mammography and digital stereotactic biopsies, 64-slice computed tomography (CT scans), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and X-ray.

The department is open from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays. Emergency diagnostic imaging services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
