The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports heart disease as the leading cause of death in the United States - causing 26 percent of all deaths. Every year, McKay-Dee Hospital serves over 23,000 patients in our heart services department. If you or a family member have not be affected by heart disease, chances are you know someone that has. All proceeds from the Classic Race go to benefit Heart Disease, but you don’t have to run to help in the fight against heart disease. Your donation to heart disease will promote awareness of the disease, education about the disease and technologies to benefit the community in the fight against heart disease.
McKay-Dee Hospital and the McKay-Dee Hospital Foundation operate as non-profit 501(c)(3) institutions. That means that we don’t have shareholders or stock options. Instead, our profits and charitable donations are used to enhance our ability to provide improved facilities, education, and leading-edge technologies to our patients and the communities we serve.
The McKay-Dee Hospital Foundation’s mission is to support McKay-Dee Hospital Center by providing resources to meet community needs, ensuring the availability of quality healthcare today and tomorrow.
The hallmark of our Foundation is to be good stewards of donor funds - fulfilling the donor’s desire to make the greatest impact with their resources by helping us provide exceptional equipment, programs and education that enhance McKay-Dee Hospital’s high standard of healthcare and community wellness.
