The Adult inpatient Unit provides a safe and therapeutic environment for those in an acute crisis.
Adults are evaluated in the Emergency Room by a Licensed Crisis Worker to determine appropriateness for admission. Upon admission, the patient will be evaluated and treatment provided by a multidisciplinary team which consists of:
- Psychiatrists
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
- Therapists
- Registered Nurses
- Psychiatric Technicians
Patients will participate in individual, group and family therapy sessions, if necessary, pharmacological management and appropriate discharge planning.
The purpose of admission is to effectively result in evaluation, stabilization and disposition for patients with acute psychiatric illness.
