Cancer treatment can become overwhelming. At the Val & Ann Browning Cancer Center at McKay-Dee Hospital, we are dedicated to giving our patients the best care, technology and emotional support possible. Our American Cancer Society Patient Navigator guides patients through the emotional ups and downs of cancer treatment and arranges support groups, patient home care and all other needed help.
The Patient Navigator is specially trained to offer information and support services to help patients feel in control, educated and at ease throughout treatment and recovery. Whether an individual needs more information about his or her cancer, treatment plan or how to cope with emotions throughout treatment, our Patient Navigator is there to assist and guide.
As a courtesy to our patients and their families, the Navigator offers a no-cost cancer support group. If you or your loved one is fighting cancer, we encourage you to join.
If you can't make it to support group meetings, please meet with our Patient Navigator to discuss any concerns or questions you may have. He or she can direct you to resources for financial aid, emotional stability and ample information about your treatment.
