McKay-Dee Hospital Heart Institute
Our four state-of-the-art fully digital catheterization labs are the most advanced in the western United States. Opened in 2002, these labs are dedicated to heart catheterization and coronary artery intervention such as balloon angioplasty, diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders, placing pacemakers and internal defibrillators. In addition, advanced cardiac procedures such as electrophysiology testing and cardiac ablation are performed, and intra-aortic balloon pumps are inserted to improve the heart's pumping ability.
In 2009 a fourth new digital state of the art cardiac and peripheral lab opened specifically to treat cardiac and peripheral vascular problems. Our board certified vascular cardiologists and vascular specialists evaluate and treat veins and arteries for blood flow problems and blockages, and have the ability to treat carotid disease and certain structural heart problems such as PFO and ASD.
