Visiting Guidelines

Due to the infectious nature of the Human Enterovirus D68 illness, the following temporary visiting policies are in effect to protect our patients, visitors and hospital staff.

USR Visitor Guidelines as of September 12, 2014

  • No ill visitors will be allowed on our Women and Children's units.
  • No sick visitors. Please do not visit at this time if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, wheezing, vomiting or diarrhea.

LEVEL II NURSERY POLICY

No visitors under 14 years of age. No more than 2 visitors at the baby's bedside at a time.

LABOR & DELIVERY AND MOTHER/BABY POLICY

No visitors under 14 years of age unless they are well siblings of the new infant. Children under 14 years of age must remain in the mother’s room. They cannot wander the halls or sit in waiting rooms on the unit.

    Located inside the east hospital entrance, the Snack Bar offers an American-style grill, a deli with sandwiches and soup, and salads. The Snack Bar is open Monday through Saturday at the following times:

    • Breakfast: 8 – 10 a.m.
    • Lunch: Weekdays, Noon – 2 p.m.;
      • Saturdays, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
    • Dinner: 5:45 – 7 p.m.
