Visiting Guidelines

Due to a significant reduction in local H1N1 activity, the Utah Hospital Association has issued new visitor recommendations. Intermountain Healthcare is revising its Visitor Guidelines to fit with the relaxed UHA recommendations. Please review the guidelines below.

USR Visitor Guidelines as of Dec. 1, 2009

• Well visitors of all ages are allowed in the hospital (age 14 restriction has been lifted).
• Patients may have as many well visitors as allowed on each individual unit (2 visitor limit has been lifted).
• No sick visitors. Anyone with a fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, nausea or diarrhea should be asked to stay at home.
• Masks/hand hygiene stations will remain in place at all entrances. Screening at entrances should continue and anyone with flu-like symptoms should be asked to wear a mask.
