These educational classes help expectant mothers and families prepare for the exciting arrival of a new baby. Classes on a variety of topics are taught by a nurse educator. Topics include:
- Childbirth preparation
- Lamaze
- Breathing and relaxation
- Breastfeeding
- Childbirth refresher
- Sibling class
Mothers are encouraged to take a prenatal class early in their second trimester. To schedule your prenatal class, please call (801) 714-3324.
Getting ready for the arrival of your new baby also includes some financial planning. Intermountain Healthcare’s Stork Savers Program was designed to help self-pay families in the community access high quality maternity services at a low, fixed price. Stork Savers is not available to commercial payers.
The program, which includes three separate packages for vaginal and C-section delivery, is available to families with:
- Limited financial means.
- No insurance coverage for maternity services.
- Or families paying for their own services.
