The Women’s Center - Designed with details in mind
That’s why women will find things like iPod docking stations in patient rooms, allowing them to listen to their favorite music during labor and delivery.
Park City Medical Center also has plush robes for women having a mammogram, and an architectural design that assures absolute privacy.
“We’ve tried to think of everything that could make a woman’s stay as warm and comfortable as possible,” says Nikki Thoreson, Women’s and Newborns nurse manager.
Here are more highlights:
Labor and Delivery/ Postpartum Suites
Often, women move from one area of a hospital to another after delivering a baby. At the Park City Medical Center Women’s Center, women will have only one room throughout their entire stay.
The unique suites allow parents to settle in and get comfortable as they get to know the newest addition to the family. The rooms feature pretty colors and textures, as well as outstanding views of the Wasatch Mountains. The comfortable furnishings include roomy sleeper chairs that can accommodate even the tallest partners.
Park City Medical Center also has labor aids like birthing balls and birthing bars. Mothers can have babies sleep in their room, or spend the night in the nursery, where newborns will receive special treatment as well.
The nursery has been designed for up to seven infants and provides attentive, personal care for each one.
Surviving breast cancer is a heroic and courageous achievement. But for many women, surviving also means one or even both breasts have to be removed. And this can be devastating.
At Park City Medical Center, our board-certified plastic surgeons can restore your breasts, helping you recover emotionally, physically and mentally. If you’ve had a mastectomy or double mastectomy and are ready to begin the restoration process, give Park City Medical Center a call. Most insurance policies cover this procedure and patients can return to work in about one week.
Privacy and Security
Park City Medical Center is also committed to the highest level of security for women and newborns.
