The Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic, which opened in 1959 at its current site (333 South 900 East), is being replaced with a new facility at the same location. Groundbreaking is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, with the new $52 million clinic scheduled to be completed in early 2013. The existing clinic will continue to be open for patients until the new clinic is completed. The clinic had 137,000 patient visits in 2010.
The new four-story clinic will have nearly 120,000 square feet of space. About 70 clinicians and 250 employees will occupy the new facility. The new clinic will offer the same large variety of services and medical specialties it currently does, but will add new offerings such as an InstaCare, physical therapy, and Intermountain Homecare.
The Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic is a facility of Intermountain Healthcare. Intermountain is a nonprofit health system based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
