Staying with or visiting a child in the hospital is difficult - especially if you are far from home. While you are here, we want to ensure your comfort.
Primary Children's Medical Center offers a variety of amenities for patients, families, and visitors. Everything from delicious, affordable meals to a robust medical library with the latest information.
If you are in need of something not listed, please ask your nurse, inquire at the front desk, or visit the Parent Resource Center on the third floor.
Places to Eat
The Rainbow Café serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight meal every day. We are located on the 1st floor by the north entrance. Come visit us for a nutritious, delicious, and affordable meal. You will find healthy entrees and sides, an array of comfort foods, and made to order grill items.
Rainbow Café Hours:
- Breakfast: 6:30am - 10am
- Lunch: 11am - 4pm
- Dinner: 5pm - 10pm
- Midnight Meal: 11pm - 2am
Please Note: On weekends and holidays, breakfast will be served starting at 7am.
Park Station, our sandwich and salad shop, serves fresh, made-to-order salads and sandwiches as well as hot soups. Park Station is located next to the café on the North side of the hospital.
Park Station Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm
(Sandwiches and salads made to order from 11am - 3:30pm)
- Closed Weekends
Stop by Brews on 3rd for your morning cup of joe. Serving coffee, lattes, mocha, italian soda, hot chocolate, and chai tea. Coffee is locally roasted Rimini Coffee. Delicious biscotti and sweet rolls are also available.

Cash, Credit, Debit accepted. Gift cards are available.
Vending machines are located on the 4th floor, just south of the main elevators, and in the lobby of the south entrance. A variety of snacks, hot beverages, and sodas are available.
Shopping & Financial
Come to the gift shop to find great gifts that are perfect for sending to patients in the hospital. Located on the 1st floor, south of the main elevators.
Gift Shop Hours: - Monday - Friday: 9am to 8:30pm
- Saturday: 9 am - 5 pm
- Closed Sunday.
Open to the public everyday, the outpatient pharmacy is a convenient option to fill perscriptions, purchase over the counter drugs, and answer questions. Capable of custom compounding, and flavored liquid medications. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Accepts most insurance, along with Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana Medicaid.
Hours- Monday - Friday: 9am - 7pm
- Weekends: 9am - 5pm
Cashier is available for patients.
A cashier and a Wells Fargo ATM are available for patients, families, visitors, employees, and volunteers on the first floor of the hospital by the north entrance.
