child. During this stressful time medical social workers are available
to support you and your child and help meet the needs of your family.
Social workers are located in each inpatient unit and in outpatient
clinics

- When you need assistance with transportation, housing, or have financial concerns, or need to address insurance issues
- When you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed and need a listening ear.
- When you need someone to help you problem-solve, prioritize, or set goals
- When your child needs help adjusting to the hospital
- When you need ideas to meet the needs of your other children at home
- When you or your child is grieving a loss
- When short-term counseling would be helpful to you while your child in the hospital, or even after discharge
- You need help finding resources in the community
