Many different career opportunities are found within the world of healthcare, and Primary Children’s Medical Center is happy to support students in their educational pursuits.
Approximately 2,000 student placements are made annually at Primary Children's Medical Center. Placements are made through many different schools throughout Utah as well as nationally — in fact, students from approximately 35 to 40 different colleges and universities come to Primary Children’s Medical Center each year. Here students from a variety of disciplines and areas of practice are able to job shadow, complete rotations, or intern for credit with their school.

Note:
- In order to qualify for placement at Primary Children’s Medical Center, you must be a high school graduate and at least 18 years of age.
- Placement is dependant upon availability of clinical slots, which are subject to shift variance and clinical location. Department managers will determine placement availability per semester. (Managers will work directly with the Student Placement Coordinator when allocating slots).
