The general pediatric surgery service located at Primary Children's performs procedures within these general categories:

- Chest wall reconstruction

- Gastrointestinal surgery
- Inguinal and genital surgery
- Liver transplantation
- Lumps and cysts
- Minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy and thoracoscopy)
- Neonatal surgery (surgical management of congenital disorders)
- Oncologic surgery (solid tumors and vascular access)
- Prenatal counseling (congenital anomalies diagnosed in utero)
- Trauma management and surgery
