Pilates Program - TOSH - The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital

Our Physical Therapy Pilates Program is for current patients, and is suggested for individual patients by the physical therapist. It is by appointment only, usually one time a week for 2 – 5 weeks or as the therapist sees fit.

What Is Pilates?

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on precision of movement through the mind-body connection using the principles developed by Joseph Pilates.

Pilates exercise programs are individually designed to develop symmetry of movement, increase strength, balance and coordination.

The foundation of movement begins with a stable and strong core. The “core” is defined by the abdominal, low back and pelvic musculature.
