Pediatric Hospitalists (inpatients only)
Shad Outsen, MD
Dr. Outsen attended the University of Utah School of Medicine and graduated with honors in pediatrics and genetics. He completed a pediatric residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and earned the Emergency Department Resident of the Year Award. He was a pediatric hospitalist at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA, from 2008 until he joined the Intermountain Medical Group in 2010. Dr. Outsen founded and presides over Camp Hawkins, a camp for children with heart disease, and volunteered at Camp Hobé, a camp for children with cancer. |
Matthew Steinfeldt, MD
Dr. Steinfeldt earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, and then completed a pediatric internship and residency at Phoenix
Children’s Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center in Arizona. During residency, Dr. Steinfeldt had an emphasis in pediatric infectious diseases and spoke many times on topics including language development, hospitalization of poisoned children, wilderness medicine and Long QT syndrome. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. |
